How to follow people on bigger pockets?

Hi everyone, I'm new to bigger pockets and only recently started to dig deep into the forum and materials in this site. Quick question, is there a way to follow people through the bigger pockets app? I added people to my keyword alerts but I'm not seeing anything show up and I'm positive these contributors are pretty active on the forums. There's so much potential for the app but some functionalities I assumed to be no-brainer are difficult to figure out.
