Adding links/images when replying to posts from mobile device

I do most of my posts from my iPhone and have noticed that there's no way to add a link or image when replying to a post. Interestingly, the feature is available when starting a new post. Just not when replying to an existing one. 

Here's what I see when starting a new post (notice all the options at the bottom to format the text and add an image, video or link):

But here's what I see when replying to an existing post (notice the absence of all the aforementioned features):

Can this be fixed? I hate having to fire up the old desktop every time I want to add a link to one of my replies.
