Call me crazy, but I think we can make the BP forums better...
Hey @Joshua Dorkin and fellow BP'ers, here's an idea I came up with recently I thought I'd throw out there...
What if we had a section or sub-section of the forums that were regional and/or state-specific, i.e. Midwest or Illinois forums (in my case obviously). It might make it easier to connect with fellow BPers in our stomping grounds or get more location-specific questions answered more efficiently.
For example, when I search "Illinois lenders" it comes back with 365 results from a wide range of sub-forums, and only a handful of those may be what I'm looking for (....maybe). The other 300+ may be a result of one person saying "lenders" on the first post and another saying "Illinois" 40 posts later in the same thread.
I don't really have the tech background to understand what it would take to pull that off, or if it would even make sense, but I think it might be better and more efficient than getting a boatload of emails and keyword alerts on a daily basis.
Maybe I'm being nit-picky and should just wipe my tears, but maybe it's something we could introduce for Plus/Pro members and see how it goes?
Whatcha think?

haha @Ray A. reminds me of a joke: How do you know if somebody is from Texas?
...Just say hi and they'll tell you.
Same applies for marathon runners in general and Notre Dame alumni in Illinois!
I agree it would make the Marketplace much easier to navigate as well. Maybe we could even separate that down into sub-categories of lenders, properties, etc. rather than just having the tags at the heading of each post.
I feel like we're congress/the house trying to pass tax reform or something. Just waiting for @Joshua Dorkin aka Obama to veto us all!
