Forum Functions

I know this may be a silly question, but I'm still very new to this site and I don't see anywhere that explains it. What does the "vote" and "award" functions mean in a discussion and how do you "@" someone. I've tried just typing the symbol but it never triggers what looks like its actual function. Just trying to get the elementary stuffdown first before I dive into the rest of BiggerPocket's resources.

Thanks!

The @ feature is like a typeahead, you should see an auto complete below your text box. Note, this may vary from browser to browser.

I have attached a screenshot for you. One thing to note is that the only ones you can select are people in the conversation, or people who are currently your colleagues.
