Hey, if I want to alert someone with in a forum or blog post, do I just @name name her/him? does the space belong between the names?

Thanks!

Hi Stacey,

Yes, when you are replying to a post you can type the @ followed by their username, no space. When you start typing their name look down at the bottom of the Reply window and you will see their name pop up. Click on it there and it will alert them that they were mentioned. If you just type the @ and their username but don't select them from the bottom it will just show up as text and won't alert them. You will be able to tell because in the reply the @ and their username will be highlighted rather than just text.

If you have more questions just ask.
