Rookie Bootcamp vs Short-Term Rental Bootcamp
Hi all,
I'm interested in attending one of the bootcamps, but I don't know which would be best for me.
I'm a complete rookie when it comes to real estate. I know absolutely nothing about it and would like to learn the basics. It would appear, therefore, that the Real Estate Rookie Bootcamp would be the most appropriate course.
However, my business is closely related to short-term rentals, so ideally I'd like to lean into that side of things eventually. The Short-Term Rental Bootcamp appeals for this reason. However, I still would like a general introduction to real estate outside of just the short-term rental sphere.
Does the Short-Term Rental Bootcamp cover the basics of real estate and discuss other types of real estate sufficiently to hop straight onto that course? Or do you recommend I take the Rookie Bootcamp first to truly understand the basics?

Hi @Nick Purslow, I manage our bootcamp program at BiggerPockets. I think you could get away with either bootcamp, but it sounds like Rookie might be a slightly better fit—our Short-Term Rental bootcamp is pretty hyper-focused on STRs, and won't really talk about other investing strategies.
That being said, we do have a 30-day refund period—if you start with STR and decide it's not the right fit within those first 30 days, we could switch you over to Rookie. Hope this helps!
