Luxury vinyl flooring is this a DIY will I need a contractor?

Hello,

I wish to install Luxury Vinyl flooring on top of my existing wooden floor and actively exploring my best choices. Also I would like to know if I will need a contractor to install LVT here in Northern New Jersey or is it just a simple DIY project? I also have tiles in the basement that tend to get cold in winter, is it a good idea to install on LVT on top of tiles to keep the flooring relatively warmer?
