Stepping foot into the carpentry world

Hi, I live in Hudson county jersey. My passion has always been to learn carpentry. I am finally taking steps in that direction but I am having trouble finding an opportunity because I don’t have any experience in the field. If anyone on here can help I would be very grateful. If any knows any carpenter that is looking for an apprentices please let me know. Any information on how I can get my foot through the door would also be great. Thank you
