Closing on a duplex in Joliet in the next few weeks and looking for recommendations on who to use for a general contractor. This is my first project and the property is going to need a major rehab. I will most likely have to take it on on in stages.

Wow, congratulations Alex.  What made you pick Joliet?  I saw you are from Indiana, do you have family in the Joliet area.  Please be very watchful and closely monitor your contractor, and don’t forget to call references.  I’m glad your taking steps to put things in place before you even close.
