Demolition cost for 1k SFH

I have a 1K SFH that is stressed property and needs to be demolished completely. How much does it cost on average per sqft?

Do you remove the basement and the foundation too. What are the pros and cons of just demolishing the house and later removing the foundation (if needed) when you start new construction project?

any tips are welcomed.

Thanks

@Mustafa Mo  The local municipality will probably require you to remove the foundation if there is a basement.  Even if it’s not required, I would do it anyway for safety and liability reasons. Given the minor extra cost to remove the basement, you would be much better off starting from scratch than trying to fit a new floor plan on top of an existing basement.

A slab would be different, but I would still remove it and start new.  Slab houses are a tougher sell in St. Louis.
