I was out having some fun today , nothing more fun than destroying something .  Older waterfront house , guy paid $ 450K for this , I get to tear it down and dig the footers . He is doing the General contracting himself with some help . This project started a year ago , It took that long for permits . All done and it will be a million dollar property .  One big issue is the ground water , we dug a test hole for footers and its too wet , so the engineer has to come bask and design engineered footers .  ( much more expensive , I cant price it out till I get the engineer report )

And yes , my buddy is daring enough to put a 6 ton machine up on the deck to tear down the house .  Its tight to the property lines and the guy to the right has that expensive fence
