Experience with Brian's Custom Paint and Remodel, Richwood, Tx?

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this contractor. He provided me with a material's list and wants me to purchase the materials for him to use. My partner wants to purchase the materials to provide for the contractors; however, purchasing materials through the contractor seems to be what most people on here recommend. Would anyone use a contractor that prefers to be provided with the materials?
