Forming GC Company and Looking for Input

I am working with my parents, both of whom have decades of collective experience in construction and trades, to start an investor-minded general contracting company.  I was hoping to get some input from BP members on what they find lacking in their contractors and what they find to be most important.  Thanks in advance for the input, and Happy New Year!
