Horrible work or not a concern? (Rubber roof)
hello,
Below are pictures of a sunroom roof a contractor installed at one of my properties. From the inside of the sunroom, the work looks terrific. However, yesterday I got on top of the roof and I found a rather large bubble in the rubber. I also noticed the contractor did not install flashing on the edge where the sunroom meets with the original roof. That section is only a couple of feet, (maybe 3), so I am not sure if flashing is absolutely necessary. After speaking with the contractor, he said the bubbles are normal and they should go away with time. The past 2 days, it has been rather hot in this area so I wasn't sure if the heat caused the gases to expand which caused the bubbles or if its just shotty work. One last concern I had was the contractor told me they glued the rubber roof straight to they plywood instead of laying down felt. Is this a problem? Down the road, when this roof needs to be replace, will the next contractor have to replace the plywood to install a new rubber roof?
