Aluminium wire in a 1965 house
Hello all,
I would like to have your opinion on aluminium wire : should this be a show stopper?
I have been told we can use ARC vault breakers to improve the security if the electrical panel is compatible, or change the panel if it is not compatible. Also, we could do a copper junction at every outlet and light fixture. Is this sufficient?
The house seems to be in good shape, and has had only 1 owner, so I don"t think anything was updated regarding electricity.
Thank you!
