Astroturf and fake grass options

Hey BPers!

Does anyone know of a great supplier of the fake grass rolls? Our crews are capable of laying it so I'm really just looking for the materials at low cost. I've been around to some so called wholesale suppliers but their prices are still astronomical.

However if you have a contact that is a landscaper and can supply and install at a reasonable price, please let me know or have have them call me. They would need to service the Phoenix area.

Thanks.

I am not sure about rentals, but we installed Pregra (bought through costco) on our primary home - best decision ever! No mowing, no watering (a plus when CA is in a drought) and it always looks good. We were debating installing it in the rental as well to save on maintenance, but it was not that cheap. It was cheaper for us because we did all the work ourselves.

One thing to remember - make sure to account for the cost of the supplemental materials. A good installation requires a layer of gravel (compacted) and sand for weighting down the grass, along with nails. For good installation special rubber pallets are also recommended as they help the grass stand up.
