Contractor/Subs raising prices

What do you guys do when your contractors or subs up their prices per hour or per job for an exactly same type of work. Do you question them and try to get them back down, bite the bullet and pay if they do a good job usually or search for someone else so they see they are not the only ones around who can do this? Thoughts? Thank you

The contractors raise their prices for the same reason landlords raise their rent , prices go up , gas , insurance , supplies , tools .  I know quite a few good contractors , they dont work for peanuts , they are business men .  No 2 jobs are ever the same , one job could be 15 minutes away from the shop , one job could be 2 hours away from the shop , at the end of the 8 hour day the contractor will still make the same . Travel time is built into the price .  A good successful contractor/businessman charges for everything he does .

If you cant afford to do it right , you certainly cant afford to do it over .
