Estimates for the Temecula, CA area
Hi everyone! We're looking to remodel our small kitchen (about 12 x 12, L-shaped), and convert the garage into 2 bedrooms (not an ADU, no added bathrooms or kitchen, just adding bedrooms to the house). The conversion will also have a 5x10 walk-in pantry that is open from the kitchen (garage and kitchen share a wall). I got a quote for the two projects and I just wanted to get your opinions if you think these are good estimates - high, low, or fair?
For the kitchen remodel, for all labor and installation = $20k. I will have to provide and buy all the finishing (cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, etc), but they demo and install everything.
For the garage conversion, including the walk-in pantry and 2 bedrooms, the mini-split system, taking out the garage door and framing it and adding siding to look like the rest of the house, and add 1 window in each bedroom, the quote was $40k.
I would love to get your opinions. Again, this is for the Southern California area (Temecula area). Thanks in advance!
