Main Sewer Replacement - SoCal

Patrick Charles
Posted

Hi - my main sewer line (clay) is nearly done for and needs an overhaul.  Significant cracks in 5-10 different places and the connection to city sewer is near broken.  The entire line runs underneath the driveway for 85 feet.  Looking for thoughts on what I should expect the repair to cost.  $10k?  $20k?  $25k?  If you're in the area, I'll gladly look at your reviews and consider doing business.

Around clean-out, excavate ~20 square feet concrete and dig 3 feet to reach clay sewer line.

At end of driveway / by sidewalk, excavate 24 square feet concrete and dig 6 feet to reach clay line.

Using Trenchless system, 85 feet of pipe burst (4 inch), from clean-out to sidewalk.

Perform 6 inch lining from sidewalk to middle of street.  ~30 feet

Since the clay pipe to the city sewer connection is completely broken and requires it to be taken care of ASAP, a top hat system is needed on the main house sewer connection to the city line.

Install a two-way clean-out on the back parking area and one more clean-out access near sidewalk with proper traffic sewer box on both clean out access.

Patch up concrete and haul trash.
