I need Help with a ADU Storage conversion ( Detached)

I have a Home in the city of Compton that has a storage unit in the back where I am trying to convert to a ADU for rental income. I have questions regarding if my house is legal for a conversion and quotes. Anything will help. I want to see what are my option asap .
