Looking to get into Short-Term Property Management for a smaller investor

Victor Harrison
Posted

Hello!

My name is Victor and I have been a member of bigger pockets for quite a few years at this point. My wife and I are in our 20's and have been working hard at our careers in the hopes of building the capital needed to begin picking up investment properties. Fast forward to now and we are making close to 250k a year and all while working remotely. We are very close to pulling the plug and picking up our first investment property, at which point my property management career will begin. My family has been in real-estate investments my whole life so I am not green but I am aware that you have to essentially be on call 24/7 and that can be draining for some investors.

My desire is to be picked up by a small time investor who is looking to ease some of their management burdens onto me to work remotely for them. As I am already well off with my own job I am happy to work below the industry rate as the trade-off is experience that will allow me to hit the ground running with my own properties. My preference will be given towards short-term vacation rentals but I am open to any type of property management as it will all build up my experience.
