Looking to become a RE Developer in Colorado

Hi BiggerPockets community,

Me and my wife just returned to Colorado (We moved temporarily to Texas and now we're back). I have some good savings from my subcontracting company and have always wanted to become a RE Developer.

I want to start with one home and go from there, I know there is a lot to this and would like some guidance. Where I can meet people in the trade so that I can start with the right foot? I have already joined ULI Colorado chapter, but I am having some trouble finding groups since everything is rental properties and there is very little on developing new construction.

Any advise will be greatly appreciate it!
