Out of State GC vs Local Contractors
Greetings all,
I am an out-of-state Buy and Hold investor and wondering for future SFR investments if it is better to build a relationship with a General Contractor for all properties that I will invest in nationwide or if it's better to search for local vendors/contractors in the area I'm buying.
I’m looking for an alternative to going through the property managers (PMs). I have found that PMs using vendors in their network tend to tack on additional %’s & fees so it becomes less cost effective to go through them for upgrades/renovations. Thanks in advance for your insights.
