Becoming a Part Time Mortgage Agent in Canada

Account Closed
Posted

Hello,

I am located in Southern Ontario and I am hoping to get into real estate investing in the future and am looking to save for my first rental property. I currently work full time as an airline pilot but unfortunately I currently don't earn enough to save for a down payment. I am looking to become a mortgage agent as a side hustle/part time job to help me out. I usually work Friday to Monday and am off Tuesday to Thursday and I would also be able to put in a few hours of work after my shift during the days that I am working.

Does anyone on here work as a part time mortgage agent in Canada? If so how are you finding it, is it difficult to get hired on with a brokerage and market to clients?

Thanks for the help!
