Refinance process with AmeriSave

I need advice for my refinance process with AmeriSave.  I started the refinance process back in April by paying $500 to lock the rate and still have not completed yet.  Sent them all my personal information for processing. Loan Originator keeps answering me that he is checking with loan processor in AmeriSave.  As time goes on, they keep additional request on and on.  I asked them to change the person in charge to his manager and now the manager is doing the same thing.  They are now asking if I want to keep the refinance process or cancel the process.  Certainly I will lose $500 if I cancel, but very uncomfortable to proceed.  Please advise.
