Suggestions for intern at CRE investment and management firm

First time obtaining a full-time internship. Have limited/little knowledge of CRE. Will be working alongside 2 other interns to create investment thesis at the end. What advice do you have for an intern? What should I expect? What should I look to obtain if I want to eventually become an institutional investor through LLC or something small?
