Just moved to Milwaukee and want to start the process of purchasing a duplex to house hack. I just started a new job and need a creative way to get financing.

You can use hard money but make sure to your dd on how it works before going that route. If you plan to house hack then you can take advantage of FHA financing (3.5% down). The easiest way to get the deal done would be to save up enough for that down payment.
