Hi

I am looking to purchase real estate but I am not a US citizen. Would it be possible to get a mortgage even though i'm not a US citizen?

Hi Paul

Thanks for your reply.

Which part of the states are you from? I'm not yet living in the US but will be in 3 months in PA. I have already been advised by a number of mortgage brokers that getting a mortgage for primary residency will not be a problem as I will be putting down 30%. However, I have had mixed responses as to whether i'll be able to get a mortgage for real estate, to be more specific foreclosures.
