FHA possible in San Diego with less than 2 consecutive yrs W2s?

I am interested in house hacking in San Diego using an FHA loan. The lenders I have spoken to so far are looking for 2 consecutive years of W2's, however, I have a 1.5-year gap when my partner and I traveled between 2018-2019. We now have stable W2 jobs again and are ready to start investing. Is it possible to qualify for an FHA loan without 2 consecutive years working? Prior to traveling, we have both had W2 jobs since 2012.
