Mortgage Help on a Relocation

I was wondering if anybody had any insight on the best way to get a mortgage when I am trying to relocate to a new city without a current job offer. I want to get the process started as soon as possible. I have done some interviews for jobs in the area and have some more lined up but wanted to see the best way to get the mortgage process done on our new home in the city.
