Question about Mortgages/ Money Lenders

I am an aspiring investor in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The trouble I am facing is, I am international student currently in school on a F1 visa. Most banks do not want to take the chance to offer a mortgage. Can someone advise on the options that I have or connect me with investors in the same boat. TIA.
