Proof of income while in between jobs
I’m active duty military at the moment but my contract will be up this summer. I’ve been told that getting a mortgage once your off active duty can be tough bc you won’t have any proof of income. Is it extremely difficult to have 4 years of W2 income, be in between careers, and still get approved?
I’ve started a business but won’t be operating for 2 years by July of next year. I was thinking to start the buying process a couple months before I leave, and once I’m officially out I can move right into the home.
Any input is appreciated. Just trying to get ahead of this while I still have that solid “buying power”.
