1st multi VA loan, can I use FHA for 2nd multi?

Hi, I bought a 3 family last September with a VAloan and am now ready to purchase a 2nd one. I'm planning on moving out and living in the next multi, however I would like to use an FHA loan.

I called a few brokers and they said it wasn't possible unless it was 100 miles away. I was under the assumption VA and FHA loans were separate. I don't have enough for 25% down.

Has anyone bought a second multi using FHAwithin 100 miles?

Thanks
