Real estate sales person AND mortgage broker?

Do licensing regulations allow for a person to hold both a real estate salesperson license and mortgage broker license? if so, can they act in both of these capacities on the same transaction?

If it makes a difference, I am only interested in how this would apply to the multifamily (5+ units) airspace
