I was my own mortgage broker. How can I help others?
I bought a house last year and I went through 20+ lenders. I did all the calling around, even to lots of different brokers. The more I called, the better deal I kept finding. How come none of the brokers found the best deal for me and how could I help other people get the best rate for a mortgage. I thought it was their job to look everywhere to find the best rate and terms. I passed my NMLS test last year as well so I would be looking to hang my licence somewhere. I just can't see myself trying to convince someone to go with my 8% if they find a 7.4% somewhere else with the same terms. I want to be the one to find them that lower rate. Where would I look for employment to do this?
