Real estate friendly small bank

Hey all,

I’m trying to find a small local bank that is friendly to flippers. Trying to establish a new banking relationship that can also assist with a line of credit or other funding for flips in Tampa. I’m sick of using hard money. Thanks

Hi @Matt Wilkes. I'm based in the Tampa market and I was a banker in this market since 1996. That being said, Federal Regulators...thus banks...hate real estate investors by and large. A small community bank might do a deal or two for a depositor that they do other business with to keep the relationship, but they truly don't have an appetite for a flip business. If you tell a banker that you're getting a line to do flips, that's strike one and strike two right there. After being in banking so many years, I have friends in leadership roles in pretty much every bank in the area. If I understand you better, perhaps I can foster introductions for you, but I know of no bank that caters to flippers. I'll reach out to connect.
