Looking to become a real estate appraiser, can licensing be fully completed online?

Hi everyone! First post and new here, I've found that RE appraisal really interests me. I have been looking into licensing and most references state that you have to follow a licensed appraiser for a certain number of hours before you can obtain your own license. Although one updated article states that all of this can be done online since 2019 (assuming from COVID) but I can't find any other clear info about this.

Are there any appraisers or other people that know about this process? Ideally I am looking to get licensed fully online. Thanks so much!
