Navy Federal Mortgage loan officer

Hello, 

I’m interested in perusing a career in the mortgage field after retiring from the military (Feb 23). Navy Federal offers an internship program for mortgage loan officer. They pay doesn’t look great at $17-$23 an hour but I’m thinking it’s a good way to get in experience and learn the business. Has anyone worked with Navy Fed before? Any suggestions?
