Best NYC firms for Newbie Agents?

Hi, I just passed my RE exam in NY. I'm torn on where to hang my license. I'm originally from Williamsburg, BK but I actually just moved to East Orange NJ. I'm hoping to get my NJ license soon as well but for now will start in NY where all my contacts are. Since I'm not living in NYC I had planned to narrow down an office by the commute but I'm overwhelmed with all the different options. I'd like to get the most out of the brokerage I choose in the form of support and training to start. I'm currently unemployed due to the pandemic so I need to hit the ground running as a full time agent. Which brand do you think would be great for showing me the A to Z on paperwork and closing deals? Should I seek a mentor/team to work under instead of a specific brand? Do I have to focus on one neighborhood? If I was still in Williamsburg I would probably stick to that area but now that I'm across the Hudson should I work out of an office closest to the tunnel? I heard KW is great for beginners but training is expensive. Someone at exp realty sent me a recruitment video. Seems like they have a lot of training available as well, not sure the cost but the reviews online saying they are similar to MLM turned me off as I've been in an mlm recruitment meeting for a different company once and couldn't wait to escape those cult vibes. I really love Compass online marketing and presence but not sure its right for a beginner. Would love to get your advice. Thank you in advance for your time!
