The brokerage doesn't make your business as an agent. The skills and knowledge of an agent and how much of a people person you are makes you successful.

Networking and enjoying what you do is key. I have seen agents play "merry go round" with brokerages for decades with minimal affect. Any brokerage you are at as an agent you want your own websites, cards, etc. so that if you need to break ties later on it is swift and easy. A tactic of brokerages is to offer everything free and then incubate you with all of their stuff making it hard to leave or enact things that would make your business grow but is not inline with what they are doing.

There are some benefits like mass advertising savings and agent networks with buyers especially for residential. In real estate you lead, follow, or create and tell everyone else to get out of your way. Never put your destiny in a brokerages hands and believe that will do it for you. Now there are people at that brokerage that my affect your results and change your life that are having amazing results. If you examine what THEY are doing it's them and not the brokerage producing these results.
