Free work in exchange for mentorship during pre licensing
Hello agents of BP! My name is Jenna and I'm very new to the world of real estate. The spark began a few months ago upon graduating college when I started to consider the possibility of pursuing a career as an agent. I have completely dove head first into all things RE and have even started aggressively saving for my first investment property/house hack. I am currently enrolled in online pre licensing course via the CE shop (Ohio license). I have read a few Brandon Turner books and constantly listen to BP podcasts and YouTube but to use my time as wisely as possible during pre licensing, I think it would be wise for me to find an agent to shadow in my area, or offer to work for them for free for a period of time in exchange for some guidance/showing me the ropes of becoming a successful agent.
I'm curious to know if any other members here got started in a similar way and what did you gain from the experience? How did you go about finding a great agent and reaching out to them? What type of arrangement did you have with the agent and what did you learn? What would you have done differently?
Are there any other things you would recommend me to begin learning/gaining exposure to?
Thanks in advance!

I would recommend cold calling and looking for deals off-market. That is how I meant my mentor and now business partner here in Columbus, Ohio.
