I passed my California real estate salesperson exam and wondering what I should do next. If you have any experiences to share or suggestions I would appreciate it.

Interview 5-7 different brokerages.  Remember, it’s not all about the splits.  Make sure there is support, training, mentor programs and most of all a supportive environment.

Also, do as much training with your local MLS companies, let EVERYONE you know that you are now in real estate. Offer to do "free" CMA (comparative market analysis) as a way to learn and build potential future clients.

Find a good mentor and try to do as much shadowing as possible.  Offer to do open houses for those that don’t have the time to do it.  Offer to do all the “grunt work” so you can learn early on in your career.

But most of all get up, dress up and show up EVER SINGLE DAY!  No matter if you are busy or if things are dead.  Get in the habit of investing in your business but remember, real estate is a mental game.

Congrats on passing your test and good luck out there on the front lines!
