PA Broker wanting to Establish Brokerage In Ohio

Hello Everyone,

I am currently a real estate broker in PA and I am considering opening a brokerage in Ohio. Can someone please tell me the requirements to do this?

I'm wondering if there is a fast-track option or if I will need to complete all the agent licensure requirements below:

- Hold agent license for two years

- Accumulate 40 transaction points

- Complete educational requirements

Can someone knowledgeable in this area please advise?

Thanks!

@Gabe G. usually the state will require you to complete all agent licensure requirements for a broker's license unless your current state has reciprocity with the state you want to get licensed in. I did a quick search and it looks like Ohio and PA does not have reciprocity unfortunately.

I think the best course of action would be to call up the Ohio state licensing department. They will definitely give you all the accurate info you need.
