calling expired and cancelled

This is my first post so bare with me..

I have been working on automating letters that go out when listings expire and cancel. However I just cancelled a friends listing yesterday and he has already received two phone calls from realtors that say they would love the opportunity to sell it etc. Does anyone know what kind of software they are using to get this info? I think this would work extremely well with my letter campaign. I am an agent in the northwest suburbs of Chicago if that info is relevant. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
