Thinking of going for the Real Estate Agent license

Thinking of pursuing my real estate agents license. I have purchased 1 SFR rental at this time. I currently work overseas in the Middle East on a varying rotational schedule with limited internet and communications making investing increasingly difficult. My thought process is with an Agent's license I could find work stateside and up my investing game being on a more reliable connection.

I'm looking for any and all suggestions and feedback for online courses that do not have strict deadlines or timed classes due to my internet connection being shaking.

Thanks in advance

Hey @Chad Oustalet!  There's a lot to your question here.  Typically jobs that put you abroad with rotating schedules and connection variances are also the kind that pay well.  High income is one of the most efficient routes to use to grow in real estate investing, though not necessarily crucial.

I start with that to say: it may be a shame for you to leave a high-income low-cost-of-living scenario and move stateside to become an agent because your current team isn't performing more effectively.  I think it would be a far simpler path, and perhaps ore efficient, to upgrade your team stateside (specifically your agent and/or property manager) and work to streamline the relationship.  It is not impossible to have a "standing order' with an agent in which your agent is looking for a specific type of property for you and when they find it, they have the authority to move on it on your behalf (and of course you would get the final say on the property, but it wouldn't be dependent on your connectivity or time-zone difference).

That is to say:  if you're leveraging a high earning scenario and can upgrade your team you'll grow MUCH faster than if you leave that role to become an investor savvy agent in the US . . . we are few, but we are here :)

I hope this is vision casting and helpful, Chad!
