The Realtor/New Investor Relationship

Hi BP,

I’m a new investor who started my journey January of this year. My dad/mentor/private lender has walked me thru my first rental property purchase. Each time I asked the right question he offered further guidance forward.

I went out tried to find a realtor, found a great owner occupied deal. Submitted an offer on it. Didn’t win but I was officially in the game.

At that point he introduced me to his personal realtor he works with exclusively. The realtor has been amazing, and has helped me on my REI journey. He has taught me the "brand", took me to see and help analyze every property that made $ense.

We got our first property under contract on 3/21, this was the third offer we had submitted. Seller didn’t counter offer.

We can finally get it inspected as of this Friday, the seller/agent interaction has been amazing. I’ve been able to learn so much thru the coronavirus.

He isn’t charging us a dime. However, I need to show my appreciation despite his request.

In short, what are some a gift ideas l could give to my realtor? After all, this is the first of many to come!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

@Javonn Musgrove I love this question! So thoughtful of you! I wish all clients were so considerate and appreciative of good service. It would make being a realtor even MORE fun.

Gift ideas for your realtor:

1. Buy another house lol!

2. Refer lots of friends and tell them how great he is

3. Repeat :)

Bonus: Get your license, join forces. Make lots of money together.
