Hello Bp for a long time now I’ve been wanting to invest but I think the best step for me is to become a Real estate agent and continue my path from that point. My question is what steps would I take to get the process started to become an agent?( I live in Rhode Island)

@Emmanuel Cedeno I thought I'd reach out because I'm going through the process of becoming an agent right now; I have spoken with a few brokers and I'll be signing with one soon. @Anthony Thompson's advice is spot on and here's the link with all the information about the course at RIAR https://www.rirealtors.org/edu... One thing I would add is that if you're really determined to become an agent you don't have to wait until you get your license to start working in the business. If you start applying online, talking to people in the business and calling brokers you should be able to find some work in real estate that doesn't require a license. You can work as an "unlicensed assistant" just to get some experience and then your broker can sponsor you for the class and you'll have a really good idea at that point what to expect out of the job.
