If you had the chance to start over

Background: I was a broker owner of a small real estate brokerage for 6 years. The last 3 years I have been GM of a company in another industry. In the last year my partner and I have purchased 10 properties, mostly single family but one 16 unit. Mostly buy and hold.

Opportunity: Through the real estate purchasing we have done in the last 12 month I realize that real estate is still where my expertise and interests lie. My goal is to re-activate my real estate licence and get back into the business. I get the opportunity to start over but with industry knowledge and experience.

The Questions: If you could start over as an agent what would you do different? Who would your target client be? How would you market? What would you definitely not do?
