Working with broker

Hello, I am currently in process of getting my real estate license. I am also working a 9-5 to pay for my bills and needs, I plan on keeping my 9-5 while being a realtor. I am worried brokers will not want me to work for them due to my schedule mostly booked with my job. I’m open to working on weekends and around my main schedule but worried that wont be enough. Any brokers or realtors doing the same thing have any advise for me? Thanks in advance!

Most larger, name-brand brokerages will likely give you grief for working part-time, but there are many discount brokerages out there that will allow you to pay a small, monthly fee...say $35-$75/mo plus a per-deal fee to do business. They won't provide much in the way of training, but they will pretty much leave you alone. That being said, it has been my experience that part-time real estate agents struggle. If you are not available 24/7 for your clients, they will likely find a full-time agent to work with. Good luck!
