Property Management Company and Real Estate Agent

Erika Whitten
Posted

So my best friend is a licensed broker here in Missouri and utilizes her license to run a property management company. She has this as the brokerage and registered with the state real estate commission. She's now looking at also doing a full-service credit repair buyer program where she will help buyers who don't currently qualify for a loan to repair their credit and get on track to homeownership. She wants it to be a very detailed program with systems in place, a website, marketing, etc.

MY QUESTION, can/should she run this all out of the same company that she's currently using for her Property management? She doesn't understand why it would need to be different since its a licensed brokerage and already all registered. Anyone have a similar situation?

Look into the requirements for having the license [if any] for a credit repair company in your state.

As a broker she can handle the credit reports just like any sensitive document but double check with the dept of real estate in your state.

What does she use for credit repair another company or software or what is her expertise? I usually refer people out to an established company that knows what they are doing.
